Long Time...No Post...

Well, as I am writing this we are in the process of getting a new home. No, it's not the one with all the pictures that were posted before. We looked at many more houses since then and even put an offer on another before finding the one
that God had just for us. I'll tell you more about that in a minute.

We are all doing well despite our hectic lives the last few weeks. Jay is loving his job at Bridges, I'm finding little pockets of time to co
ntinue servicing my Mary Kay customers and meet lots of new women, and Josiah is learning and growing everyday and is just so much fun!

Pregnancy is going great -- I'm 24 weeks along... feeling much bigger than I appear. (This picture was taken almost 5 weeks ago -- I'll have to post a new one soon.) Several f
riends had been teasing me, asking when I was going to start looking pregnant. :) Every doctor's visit brings good reports though -- "baby sister" as we call her, has a strong heartbeat and is moving around a lot. She especially seems to like any kind of music -- but the louder the better! We were at a praise and worship concert last week and she was about to jump out of my belly! :)

Okay, so on to the house. Before I say anything more though, I want to give all praise and glory to our Father in Heaven who is so faithful and true not only make promises to us, but to also keep them. He is our provider and sustainer and the giver of all good things. His hand has been so evident in
our house hunting adventure and I am so thankful for all the lessons I have learned in this incredible journey of faith. Jay and I, being the non-fixer-upper-type, had thought from the very beginning that our ideal house would be one that would only require painting the rooms and changing the fixtures to fit our design tastes. As we started looking, we began to see that a house like that would most likely have to be a new house, and all of those were out of our price range. So, we resolved that our wishful thinking would be just that. Also, it was seeming like the houses that had all of the updates that we wanted were also out of our price range and we would have to increase our ideal purchase price to get what we wanted. Well, God knew all along that if we were patient and trusted in Him, he had the perfect house just for us. I don't know how many houses we ended up looking at, but after putting offers on 3 different houses and none of them working out, I was starting to feel as though we may have to continue living in our apartment until next Spring when the market starts to get going again. God had better plans in mind than that for us. On Monday, we found out that the house we looked at on Friday didn't accept our offer. I really fell in love with that house and hearing that news was probably the most disappointing news of this entire search. Our realtor had a couple more houses for us to see though and was able to get us in them on Monday afternoon. That's when we found it. The perfect house for us. EVERYTHING has been updated -- from the heating/cooling system down to the outlet covers. It's unbelievable. And here's the best news yet. We put an offer on it for our ideal purchase price --- and they accepted it!!! They didn't even counter offer! God is soooo good. Blessed be the name of the Lord! He is greatly to be praised.
